I'm Jenny. I love to share my life in words + pictures, and I've always believed it's my duty to document each day in some way. I've been keeping journals since I could write (I will never forget my first diary that was slathered in pastel colored hearts) and blogging excessively since 2004 (Xanga, anyone?). Before that I was climbing trees and saturating with magic marker every piece of notebook paper I could get my hands on. Today, I like to keep things simple.
I'm very intuitive and try to keep the world in perspective. I'm consistently seeking defining experiences + places, which might explain my love of travel. I've wandered a few places that happen to be outside my hometown zip code of 58703, and after a lifelong affair with the Midwest, I am thrilled to be settled in NYC — for now. I like to take things one day at a time…just like everybody else.
I've had my fair share of brushes with fame (e.g. appearances in local newspapers), passed high school trigonometry with flying colors (can I still brag about that?) and can survive a North Dakota winter with valor. I'm an Aquarius, a middle child, and an amateur ping-pong pseudo-prodigy. I have several dusty, intermediate piano awards in my non-existent trophy case and was formerly CPR certified (still bragging about that).
The truth about me: I've never ran a marathon, seen Elvis, or swam with dolphins. There's a lot of places I can't go simply because my hair won't allow it (among them, small rooms and Florida). I have no grandkids to brag about nor cats to post cute photos of in silly situations. I am a fallen french horn player with an enthusiasm for hip hop music and Oreo cookies.
